#2.15 in Music – Widespread Panic concert in Alpharetta, GA on April 27th with Mike Morrison

Widespread Panic! On Aoril 27, Mike Morrison brought the house back into music when he brought House #2.15 to a Widespread Panic concert. Widespread Panic, what a beautiful name for a band.

We congratualte Mike to the successful completion of an expedition bringing the house to music and wish him and the house fair winds in coming adventures.

The following message arrived yesterday from the Canadian Expedition:

Dear Moonhouse Expedition,
On the sunny afternoon of April 29th, on the Canadian west-coast, Moonhouse Explorers J. Bergcoutts and L. Bergcoutts ascended by Gondola to the peak of Grouse Mountain where they planted a moonhouse in the snow, at an altitude of approx. 1,200 m (4,000 feet). At sundown 6 stunning photos were taken of the moonhouse with different backdrops. Due to the dramatic difference in temperature between the foot and the peak of the mountain the explorers had to escape the northern winds and find their refuge in the peak chalet where a strengthening coffee and accompanying brownie gave them new energy to embark on fuuture adventures.

Grouse Mountain stretches the boundary of where the house has explored to by being both the most westerly (126,7°W) location the Moonhouse has exlpored and the place with the highest altitude (1200 m), still on the terra firma. It also adds Canada to the now quite extensive list of nations that the Expedition has ventured to. The most westerly before was Riverview California (117,3°W) and the highest altitude was Drommen (1160 m).

We congratulate Jeff and Lena to their successful expedition a wish them fair winds for their future adventures, with and without the moonhouse.

Houses #2.22 and #2.23 has completed a successful expedition to Venice, Italy. The above picture is taken at the west bridgehead of Ponte dell’Accademia looking south over the Canal Grande. Note how well the Moonhouse (#2.23) blends in with the medieval surroundings; the stern of a Venice Gondola protruding from the greenery in the foreground and Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute dominating the skyline.

Great works of art are inclusive and enhance each other mutually. The above image features house #2.22 in front of Picassos ”The Studio” displayed at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Focus is naturally on the Moonhouse but one can sense how Picassos painting and the Moonhouse complement each other. Painting and sculpture. Architecture and portrait.

The Moonhouse on Earth. To learn how to run, one must first learn how to walk. Here is a homage to all the houses on Earth to which the Moonhouse must relate. (The Swedish word ”jord” has the dual meanings of ”Earth” and ”earth”).

What a meeting between light weight and massivity when Nils Pokrupa brings Moonhouse #2.2 to Kalmar Slott, or Kalmar Castle. House #2.2 is the very house that has previously explored the hilltops in Sälen. Thank you Nils for bringin the house on this successful Expedition.
