Ha Long Bay
#2.24 Stefan Lundin in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. November 10, 2013

On the Vietnamese expedition Stefan and Moonhouse #2.24 made (or maybe failed to make) landfall in Ha Long Bay on November 10.

Stefan writes cryptically:

Ha Long Bay was, exactly as everything else, fantastic. The water was around 26 degrees. I have swum in a lagoon and met Mochba. Tonight I have jumped over bamboo canes to the tunes of drums and falsetto song.

Congratulations on your continuing success on the Vietnames expedition Stefan and fair winds for your coming adventures.

This week’s issue of the Swedish edition of Donald Duck features the Moonhouse together with the Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang in a feature edition about space. (a klick on the image will take you to the Kalle Anka facebook page)

http://kalleanka.se features a video interview with Christer Fuglesang well worth watching.

The Expedition is pleased to see the Moonhouse appear in this renound publication and have our suspicions of how it got there.

Congratulations Emil on your successful expedition and fair winds on your coming adventures. We look forward to the coming reports from the expedition to Skåne and to following the adventures of Moonhouse #2.24 and The Rock.

This report from the Independence Day Expedition reaches us from Mike Morrison in the USA:

Last week the Crimson Tide house accompanied me and my wife to Gulf Shores, AL to celebrate the 4th of July. For the US this date represents our independence from Great Britain. Normally we have huge fireworks displays along with plenty to eat and drink, however this year Mother Nature did not play along:) So no pictures with fireworks unfortunately.
Image 5907 was taken on a dock looking out over Bon Secour Bay on July 2nd, the crane in the background would not come into focus.
Image 5913 is of the house floating on a lily pad in the lagoon on July 3rd.
Image 5904 was taken on July 4th.
Images 5950, 5963, and 5964 were taken on July 3rd at Fort Morgan, possibly the southern most point of the state of Alabama. This fort has been used in many of our nation’s domestic conflicts (a polite way of saying many cannons were fired from this place 🙂
Image 5986 was taken on July 5th at a place called Lulu’s. She is the sister of singer Jimmy Buffett. No margaritas for the house but plenty of fried okra and pot roast quesadilla and beer, obviously.

Here at HQ we particularly appreciate the picture with the Moonhouse together with the United States Flag. It stimulates thoughts on a level words are incapable of. It is art. Moonhouse belongs everywhere, everywhen, to everyone and to none.

Congratulations Mike to your novel and successful expedition and the beautiful imagery and thank you for highlighting this valuable aspect. Fair winds on your coming adventures.

Fredrik Zeybrandt brought Moonhouse #2.4 on an expedition to further explore the sport of tennis. This time the house lends some of its fame to Mats Wilander, the player in black in the images. Mats Wilander was ranke 1 in the world for twenty weeks and is considered to be one of the three best Swedish tennis players of all time together with Björn Borg and Stefan Edberg.

Congratulations Fredrik on your successful expedition and fair winds for your coming expeditions.

Update: Fredrik points out that Mats was playing against Mikael Pernfors and Thomas Enquist at the time. Naturally, Mikael and Thomas are also welcome to bask in the fame of the expedition. :).
