On the Vietnamese expedition Stefan and Moonhouse #2.24 made (or maybe failed to make) landfall in Ha Long Bay on November 10.

Stefan writes cryptically:

Ha Long Bay was, exactly as everything else, fantastic. The water was around 26 degrees. I have swum in a lagoon and met Mochba. Tonight I have jumped over bamboo canes to the tunes of drums and falsetto song.

Moonhouse #2.24 and Stefan Lundin made landfall in Son My. Son My is the place where between 347 and 504 Vietnamese people were killed in the the My Lai massacre in March 1968.

Stefan Lundin and Moonhouse #2.24 are exploring deep in the jungles of Vietnam. Here at ancient hindu temples of My Son. The temples were used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnamn war and was bombed extensively by the American Airforce.

Starting their trip in Ho Chi Minh City we understand from the reports that the expedition has reached Tuy Hoa , about as far east as you can get on mainland Vietnam.

On October 2, 2013 the Moonhouse came a step closer to space when Emil Vinterhav and Moonhouse #2.24 explored ESTEC, the technology facility of ESA in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. It is seen in the picture above in front of the out door model of the bus size flagship satellite Envisat the the ESA/ESTEC exhibition and below in the rainbow hallway of ESTEC.

We have a new Moonhouse Holder! Today Stefan Lundin took custody of Moonhouse #2.24 The Giant. Stefan will be embarking on a motorcycle expedition through Vietnam and we look forward to sharing the expedition experience with Stefan.

Moonhouse Expedition is continuing its exploration of space and Emil Vinterhav has just recently returned from an expedition with Moonhouse #2.24 to the Small Satellite conference in Logan Utah. The sculpture in the picture is ”Synergy” by Gary Lee Price and captures the togetherness of the Moonhouse Expedition effort well. The Expedition has encountered a cousin movement in the Geocaching community. On July 16, 2013 Moonhouse #2.24 uncovered the geocache Fäladsvyn (GC2P3Z6). The cache contained the trackable ”The Rock” (TB32PQV) on a mission to explore other rocks.
