On October 2, 2013 the Moonhouse came a step closer to space when Emil Vinterhav and Moonhouse #2.24 explored ESTEC, the technology facility of ESA in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. It is seen in the picture above in front of the out door model of the bus size flagship satellite Envisat the the ESA/ESTEC exhibition and below in the rainbow hallway of ESTEC.

We have a new Moonhouse Holder! Today Stefan Lundin took custody of Moonhouse #2.24 The Giant. Stefan will be embarking on a motorcycle expedition through Vietnam and we look forward to sharing the expedition experience with Stefan.

On September 18, 2013 Emil Vinterhav brought Moonhouse #2.24 to the statue of Tage Danielsson, Swedish poet, author and entertainer, at Tages hörna in Linköping

The Moonhouse expedition prides itself not of standing on the shoulders of giants but on the shoulders of each other as stated in the Moonhouse Manifesto. Here is one execption that proves the rule. On September 18, Emil Vinterhav brough Moonhouse #2.24 to ”Tages Hörna” in Linköping where we find a statue of Tage Danielsson, entertainer, poet, activist and a giant not only in his accomplishements but in his moral stature. The Moonhouse with Tage Danielsson is in good hands as illustrated below. From now on Moonhouse #2.24 will be named ”The Giant” in honour of Tage Danielsson.

We congratulate Emil on his successful expedition and wish him fair wind on his coming adventures.

On September 1, 2013, Peter Wiklund brought house #2.26 to Riga

On September 1, 2013, Peter Wiklund brought house #2.26 to the freedom monument in Riga. This is the first expedition to the Baltic States and we are exited to learn that there is a red sister house in Latvia, albeit without the red corners. Check it out here.

Robin Lilja brought Moonhouse #2.19 to Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA on August 22, 2013. As sure as Old Faithful will have an eruption every 91 minutes we will see the Old house on the Moon one day.

From his ongoing expedition in the American Mid west Robin Lilja sends us these beautiful pictures. With the starkness and the desolation of the terrain and scenery in images, the Moonhouse is quite thorougly tested for artistic properties in Moon-like environments. When Robin sends us a picture of the house bright lit with a black sky in the background we will really know.
