Houses #2.22 and #2.23 has completed a successful expedition to Venice, Italy. The above picture is taken at the west bridgehead of Ponte dell’Accademia looking south over the Canal Grande. Note how well the Moonhouse (#2.23) blends in with the medieval surroundings; the stern of a Venice Gondola protruding from the greenery in the foreground and Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute dominating the skyline.
Great works of art are inclusive and enhance each other mutually. The above image features house #2.22 in front of Picassos ”The Studio” displayed at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Focus is naturally on the Moonhouse but one can sense how Picassos painting and the Moonhouse complement each other. Painting and sculpture. Architecture and portrait.
Congratulations on the successful completion of your first expeditions John-Olof Vinterhav and Ulla Vinterhav. Fair winds on your future adventures. Houses #2.22 and #2.23 will hence forth be named The Picasso and The Canal Grande.
